White Pass Bennett Lake Adventure Journey to a historic outpost of the Klondike Gold Rush on a one-of-a-kind adventure limited to small groups. Experience the breathtaking panorama of mountains, glaciers, gorges, waterfalls, tunnels, trestles and historic sites from the comfort of vintage railcars. Built in 1898, the White Pass & Yukon Route narrow gauge railroad is an International Historic Civil Engineering Landmark. Accessible only by train, Bennett, British Columbia is an abandoned town next to scenic Bennett Lake. Constructed during the gold rush and located at the end of the White Pass and Chilkoot trails, it was a vital stop for prospectors. After packing supplies over the Coast Mountains via the trails, stampeders stopped here to build or purchase rafts for the trip across the lake and down the Yukon River to the gold fields. Step back in time on a self-guided walking tour of the area and relive the gold rush days. Sit down to a hearty, traditional prospector's meal of gold miner's stew, sourdough bread and apple pie. After lunch reboard the train for the trip to Carcross and your waiting motorcoach. Travel the historic Klondike Highway and discover the amazing landscape from a different perspective as you return to Skagway.
